This was a little strange to say the least.... any prince who fancied kent could have it ( even Justi who would no doubt d.c 5cm from the crown and still claim it >.<). I thought this was very strange becuase it was an SLM owned castle and they are rarley so charitable with there castles !!
Then I got a wis saying there was a siege going on in Aden.... and boy it was a big one.... On one side we had the juganaut that is SLM with rings submitting there heavy hitters... rings are also very experienced holding IGG now for a good 6 months on a very regular basis and showed it... SLM lack strong bow elfs so it is a good job rings brought theres ^^
The other team were formed up of 300 (now headed up by Suasponte) Pilimit who can boast a range of talent including Speakers, royal family who largly provided fodder for Oin :( and noob club who are not afriaid of a fight and have 037 umungst there ranks.
This was always going to be a good fight and I predicted a close encounter.
SLM are very patient they will happily sit for hours and repel waive after waive with no appearance of bordom there stratagies are largly based on atttrition and form very strong defensive units.
The tactics the sieging side used were very smash and grab and frustrated slm for long periods slowly drawing them out and using up their pots.
It started off with a standard siege layout with around 10 a side with SLM forming around the main tower.
But it soon it became apparent that this was not going to be a pledge dipping there toes in the water as each side got more and more people involved.
SLM, as you would expect were very diciplined and experienced and set out there stall early claiming the tower as the ground to hold and forming a cube around it, however there are always 3 people that can really do some damage it tends to be the same 3 names....
And do not get me wrong SLM are packed full of talent with many 60+ but these 3 once were like a thorn in SLM's side all day !!!
Here we see Oin and next to him is 037 drawing a few SLM out into a small skirmish on the edge.
More and more people got invloved with SLM around 30 in number franticly defend the tower against a repeated onslaught each time they came a few more pots were used up this was going to be a battle of attrition and it was one that SLM were very prepared for.
Despite the best efforts of Pilimt and Co there first wave was repeled... round 1 to SLM.
On so many occasions SLM has outlasted there opponents by stobernly defending the tower using what seems to be an endless supply of pots with the ability to absorb damage and deal it in equal measure..... not this time !!!
By this time there were ring side seats available and I would just like to say thankyou to both sides for not attacking me whilst I was taking photos :)
.... there was one ( there is always one)... chance you babo E-bind me once is an accident but twice is just stupid >.< !!
Pilimit, 300, royal and noob came back and had a plan... it was a good one and it worked well.... mages send in wave after wave of LS and MS as the tightly packed SLM group just stayed resolute.... they had to they had no elfs to repell the mages !!
This led to 2 things !!!
1. SLM coming after the mages and engaging knights on the edge of the square, which created this beauty of an opportunity !!!
2. death of mages .... no one likes to see it !! (lol!)
Me and syni(babo) were commenting throughout and slightly after I said about speakers and 037 and then this happened ..... after SLM broke rank 037 and Speaker came through the middle !!!!
WITH 20 MINS to go !!!!!!!!!!!! the breakthrough happened !!!
Then came the call..... from Loushah !!!
come one come all..... with SLM on the ropes now was the chance to take up arms.... for every time you go to kent to find it closed, for everytime you want to hunt giran for every time Beleth takes your fancy only to find closed doors... now was the time to defend !!!!
I have no idea who LuoShah is as I asume that is not his main char but it made a refreshing change from the trash talk going on on global !!! I have had the pleasure of chatting to LuoShah when he was in noob tos and was a nice guy... maybe you will wis me with your real Identity batman !!!!
The previosly imperious SLM had fallen there battle of attrition was lost due to the sheer determination Pilimit and Co !!!! with SLM's weakness bare for all to see !!!!
For the first time Pilimit, 300, Noob club and Oin were is possetion of a 5m a week castle !!! they formed up around the tower ready for the inevidtable SLM attack that was assembling outside. 10 mins and they would be the first alliance to break the iron grip of SLM !!!! GAME ON !!!
If SLM showed that they miss elfs and mages from the pledge as there weakness, they sure as hell showed what there strength was. Wth SLM not needing to sit tight and out pot there opposite number they set about slaughtering all in there path with the array of talent they have at there dispossal.
SLM made short work of the defenders and reclaimed there castle with 5 mins to go in show of brute force.... with so many 60+ there was unlikley to be any other outcome !!
I like rings especially there prince who I think is very down to earth and of course high lev ^^ so it is funny that he should wis me and remind me that speakers is bottted... yes he is but he is still a bloody beast !!!! (this was in responce to me shouting on global that Speakers is a monster!!)
Whenever I see him at a siege he causes a lot of damage !!
I would also like to point out that NO PLEDGE !!!!! are 100% angels every pledge has the occasional botter or brought char or adena buyer or uses scroll macro's.
Overall another SLM win, but this time they had to fight for it !!! I was a great siege even better then the giran one a few months back !!!
* on a side note I cannot help but mention Nowudie.... I have hunted with you before and yes your a strong and skilled char, however please remember that once upon a time you were bad mouthing on global at SLM when you were at 300 !!!
