Confessions of a Noober mage

The past few weeks have been quite interesting for me. After going on several boss hunts with conal my lev 60 damage slave I was starting to get used to whole set up and we were doing very well... so we thought we would take it up a notch and start hunting on 81f... which we did with not too many problems ( Besides trying to melee vampire !!).

Obviously feeling very pleased with myself having ended a number of bosses especially underwater ones with no hastle ast all we then took this further by getting together the peldge and going to lastavard. This is where things started to go a little off course.... we got totally owned. The reason..... becuase I am not high enough level to Weapon break/darkness some of the higher level bosses.

I was stuck.... having had a glimpse at the exciting lif of a boss hunter only to be told " not tonight lads" !!! This kick started a week lul for the first week of Jan until an opportunity to aquire Destroy came my way and after pawning my knight and elf items scrapped together enough to buy the mighty book.

This was a real eye opener for me... to compliment the fact I was too low level to be much use on anything more then a mainland hunt I found that my "mighty" destroy was infact a sleeping giant that needs several more levels to awake !!!

With everything point towards an exp push I crawled to around the 70% on the 8th Jan then made a real effort to push towards the 75% mark were I knew I was getting closer to that elusive level up....

Progress it would seem was not happening fast enough and I started to become frustrated again .... not for long it would seem, after getting totally and utterly bored I decided to see what was happening in orc town as someone had taken orc fort. I went down with Syni to see if we could get in to the dungeon for a hunt... we could not.... so we messed around for a bit !!!




After about 3 mins of quality time Oin hitting me with his DK sword I ran out of mp and I retreated back to behind the flags. I decided that now would be a good time to see how baby my destroy spear was....Turns out very !!! as Oin laughed ( quite hard I imagine) and exclaimed that the 100hp was hardly worth using pots for !!! ( Charming !!!)

After my outburst at Creeper who is one of the PiLimit prince's Zyxial was clearly not a happy bunny and was adement that the next time I was in a siege zone he would end me..... so as luck would have it I was at orc fort and Oin was getting more and more anoyed by the minute, so .....

Up pops Zyxial who's entrance included him popping out of coi and removing chunks of my hp with with destroy then continued to freeze me, causing me to tele then tried some erupt followed by destroy and a few other bits. Whilst it was all very fun wasting an hour and a half of there hunting time it made me realise that I am way out of my league !!!!

Playing with fire is fun.... but was not keen on getting burnt with Zyxial's destroy at 100 MR takes a lil below 400hp and Oin with his DK sword and huge amount of hp would take some moving.... so I decided to re-double my efforts at leveling and so the following exp timetable came about...

Oh and Zyxial taught me a really neat trick when casting destroy, nothing beats on the job learning.... Thankyou :D !!

Jan 8th = 70% exp

Friday 7%
Monday 5%
Tuesday 8%
Wednesday 12% (helped by killg)

* That includes a d/c death and one of those deaths where everything runs in slow motion as you just watch your hp slowley decrease until you get given 2 options... restart or quit... what a retard !

My choice..... " Medic " up pops kinthos for the G-res (what a hero !!)

After a lot of hard graft the screen I never thought I would see appeared in front of me !!!



When it came up I was surpirsed.... I knew what it looked like and that it was coming but it still made me jump.... then I was scared of clicking the wrong thing !! Thankfully I did not and another point of int was added to my char :D

And....... with an awesome level up of 8hp and 10mp !!! Loving that !!! :D

I thought I would go and have a root around GTV and see what was in the shops only to find a nice little bargain staring me in the face...




A silver cloak for 18m.... after having previous conversations with Conal about me getting a silver cloak as it will allow me to have 100% mr whilst also giving me regen was essential if I did not want to get 2 hit by a seer !!!

Thankyou to Syni for the small loan... Great got a silver cloak, but not enough money to zel it.... typical !!!!
